Boyd and "Oscar", owned by the Trading Aces Syndicate LLC, moved up from 8th after dressage to third after show jumping in the CIC3* at Plantation Field today. After receiving some criticism for running the horse so soon after the WEG Boyd was pleased that Oscar felt fit and sound. He ran double clear and is currently on a score of 51.3. Tomorrow they will take on the cross-country course designed by Mike Etherington-Smith and built by Eric Bull and his team at ETB Equine Construction
Several of Boyd's three-star horses were clear and in the time: Lucy Boynton's Crackerjack is placed 6th on 53.7, and Steady Eddie, owned by George and Gretchen Wintersteen, Denise Lahey and Pierre Colin, is tenth with 55.5. Pancho Villa, owned by the Pancho Villa Syndicate, knocked one rail and is standing 20th with 60.7 and Stephen Blauner's young Master Frisky is 34th with 8 jumping and 4 time faults.
