Silva went to her official American naturalization in Philadelphia today and was sworn in with 72 other immigrants from 37 different nations. It was a touching moment for Silva as she signed up with the United States of America: she chanted the Pledge of Allegiance and then sang the Star Spangled Banner along with folks from India, Nigeria, Cambodia, Poland and many other nations.
Silva is able to keep her German passport and is now a dual citizen of both America and Germany. She joins Boyd as a Yank, and hopes to ride for the USA soon.
