Rocky won again at Sporting Days in Aiken last weekend just 2 weeks after winning at Full Gallop; both times he finished on his dressage score of 28.3 and 28, respectively. He has won his last 3 events and is always in the ribbons; if you want to win while moving up the levels Rocky is the perfect horse. He has the movement of a warmblood combined with a scopey, cat-like jump and a big-strided gallop. He is easy and safe on cross-country -- just loop the reins and go! He is currently competing at novice and moving up to training in March, 2013.

Benefactor RRS Tops USEF Rankings for 5-Year-Olds

We are excited to announce that Silva and Benefactor RRS, owned by Melinda Walton and Larry Smith, are currently leading the USEF rankings for 5-year-old Young Horses with an outstanding score of 8.28. Fortissimo B, ridden by Silva and owned by Camilla Van Liew, is ranked 6th with 7.7. Di Solitaire, owned by Ann and Mike Laver, is ranked 7th with 7.62.

While it is early in the year, these are very strong scores. Silva is thrilled with this group of horses and their promising futures in dressage. "Melinda and Larry are so excited! I must give a huge thanks all of the owners for letting me ride such talented young horses," she says.

Fortissimo B is currently for sale and Silva says, "He would make a very exciting horse for a serious rider, because he has everything it takes to make a top-level competitor."

Silva and her young horses are featured on today's DressageDaily.com website. Click here or find the story at http://www.dressagedaily.com/article/building-solid-foundation-welcome-back-white-fences-i-dressage-show-feb-22-%E2%80%93-24-2013

Otis Barbotiere Back in Work

After four months of walking my Olympic partner Otis Barbotiere for an hour and a half per day, Dr. Kevin Keane has given us the go ahead to put Otis back in work.

A big thanks must go to the members of the Otis Barbotiere Syndicate, who have been nothing but awesome in waiting for him to start his comeback.

Also thanks to Lindsay Taylor, Beau Guimond and Caitlin Silliman for putting in hours and hours of work helping Otis recover from his injury.

About a week and a half ago Boyd had a fall schooling at home and sustained a mild concussion. To be on the safe side, he was checked out at the hospital and utilized the new USEF impact test (which is still in a testing phase) - he took a test previously to establish a baseline for memory, reflexes, and so on, and then took the same test after the fall to see if he was ready to return to the field of play. He took a few days' rest, and Phillip Dutton piloted Trading Aces around the OI at Pine Top the last weekend in February (see video below). A big thanks to Phillip for keeping this fantastic horse on track.

This past weekend Boyd was back in business, riding nine horses at Sporting Days in Aiken. Caitlin also rode a few horses at Sporting Days and at Pine Top. Results from Sporting Days are as follows:
